Bukayo Saka seems to only be getting better. For both Arsenal and England, he puts in consistent performances and looks to be one of the best players on the pitch. Not only that, but his presence is infectious since teammates in both camps love to be around him and he inspires them to do better in training and in matches.

In truth, Saka has had a lot to overcome in his England career. It started off in the worst possible way as his penalty miss was the losing penalty in the Euro 2020 final. But to his credit, the starboy used to his advantage and as fuel to improve day in, day out. Now, he’s a different beast and is a true credit not only to Arsenal, but the England international team.

Saka is one of the 18 Arsenal players who will be on international duty this September. England have a double header of facing Ukraine in a Euro qualifier on Saturday and then Scotland in a friendly on Tuesday.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Bukayo Saka started in both of those matches, as he’ll potentially come up against Arsenal full backs Oleksandr Zinchenko and loaned out Kieran Tierney in the respective matches. Gareth Southgate is a big fan of Saka.

Arsenal starboy Bukayo Saka wins second England award

So too are the fans, as Bukayo Saka has picked up the England men’s player of the year award for the second year. In truth, he deserves the award as his resilience to improve week in, week out hasn’t gone unnoticed.

So long as Saka keeps up his fine performances, he will keep picking up individual awards. Although, the biggest aim for him is collective honours with his Arsenal and England teammates.

What’s your favourite memory of Bukayo Saka?
