Manchester United were beaten by Arsenal at the Emirates by 3-1. It was a nightmare for United fans, the last 10 minutes of the game. Garnacho scored, and Man Utd fans thought that they had won the game. However, it was ruled offside. Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus buried United at the fag end of the game. So, let’s have a look at how United players played against a strong Arsenal team. Here are the Manchester United player ratings vs. Arsenal.

Goalkeeper

Andre Onana (6/10)

Onana conceded three goals, and none of them was his fault. Manchester United played out from the back nicely, and the credit must go to Andre for that. Now, United fans know why Erik ten Hag was so eager to have him in the team.

Defenders

Right back: Aaron Wan-Bissaka (6.5/10)

Aaron Wan-Bissaka had a wonderful game against Arsenal. Although there was a penalty scare from his tackle on Havertz, he still made Gabriel Martinelli work, which is not an easy thing to do.

Center-back: Victor Lindelof (6.5/10)

Lindelof booked early in the game. But, still, he showed calmness and was brilliant until he was taken off by Ten Hag, a decision that cost Manchester United the game.

Center-back: Lisandro Martinez (6/10)

Martinez was substituted early and also got a booking. However, when he was on the pitch, Man Utd looked solid at the back.

Left-back: Diogo Dalot (6/10)

Dalot was playing out of position, and still, he did a good job. He was going forward and defensively didn’t have much problem against Saka.

Midfielders

Defensive midfielder: Casemiro (5.5/10)

This game showed that Casemiro is ageing and he needs support from Amrabat. He had too many missed passes and was struggling to cope with relentless pressing from Arsenal players.

Defensive midfielder: Christian Eriksen (6.5/10)

Christian Eriksen was good today. His passing was as brilliant as his positional sense. United need him. But, he also struggled to keep up with the pace of the game.

Attacking midfielder: Bruno Fernandes (C) (4/10)

As the captain of Manchester United, a lot is expected from Bruno Fernandes, and he was poor in this game. He needs to improve his performance in big games.

Forwards

Left winger: Marcus Rashford (6.5/10)

Rashford always looked like a threat whenever he had the ball in his feet on the left-hand side of the pitch. The goal from him was a brilliant strike.

Right winger: Antony (5.5/10)

Antony was covering well in this game, but he needs to improve his end product. He is still struggling to adjust to the pace and rhythm of the Premier League.

Striker: Anthony Martial (4/10)

Probably the worst player on the pitch was Anthony Martial. He looked tired, and he was giving the ball away all the time. He is not the ideal striker for Man Utd.

Substitutes

Harry Maguire (5/10)

Maguire is aerially good always. But, he is not a Man Utd player and should have left, as his performance today wasn’t worth noting.

Rasmus Hojlund (6/10)

The debut for Hojlund didn’t go as planned for sure. But, this boy showed that he has got serious pace and will be the one to keep an eye on.

Alejandro Garnacho (6/10)

Garnacho scored but was ruled offside. He is better when he is coming off the bench. Surely, he is one of the stars in the making for Manchester United.

Jonny Evans (5.5/10)

Having Jonny Evans on the pitch was unnecessary, and his performance will raise many questions. But, United fans know that Jonny can do better.

Manchester United Manager Erik ten Hag (5/10)

Tactically, nothing went right for Erik ten Hag in this game. His substitutions were horrible and illogical. He may have cost Manchester United the game, and thus, he has to take criticism from the fans now.
