Manchester United will travel to London this Sunday to face Arsenal at the Emirates. So many questions were raised on Erik ten Hag’s team selection in the first two games. Also, United’s performance wasn’t that great in the first three games of the season. Yes, Man Utd did come back to win 3-2 against Nottingham Forest. However, conceding two goals within three minutes at Old Trafford against a team that will battle to avoid relegation is unacceptable.

Therefore, Man Utd fans will be looking forward to the starting XI that Ten Hag will field against Arsenal. You have already seen Arsenal’s predicted lineup. Now, it is time to see the Manchester United predicted lineup against Arsenal.

Manchester United predicted lineup vs Arsenal

Formation (4-2-3-1)

Erik Ten Hag has been playing the classic 4-2-3-1 formation since he joined Man Utd. So, it is expected that he will play with the same formation because, with this formation, Manchester United look at their best under Ten Hag. So, let’s go with that 4-2-3-1 formation and create the predicted lineup accordingly.

Goalkeeper: Andre Onana

Onana has had a good start to his Manchester United career. He has made some good saves and also, United can build from the back with him quite easily. Therefore, he will start without any doubt.

Right back: Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Even if Luke Shaw was fit, Ten Hag would have gone for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as his right back for sure instead of Diogo Dalot. As the game is in the Emirates, Ten Hag will be looking for defensive stability that Wan-Bissaka will provide.

Center-back: Victor Lindelof

Raphael Varane is injured and therefore, Victor Lindelof will surely start this game. Maguire might get into the bench against Arsenal but starting this game is impossible. So, Lindelof will start against Arsenal.

Center-back: Lisandro Martinez

The signing of Lisandro Martinez has been a game-changer for Manchester United. His attitude on the field at times reminds United fans of Nemanja Vidic. So, he will partner with Lindelof without any doubt.

Left-back: Diogo Dalot

Yes, Manchester United has signed Sergio Reguilon from Spurs. But, it is unlikely that he will start against the Gunners. Thus, Diogo Dalot will make another appearance for United as a left-back.

Defensive midfielder: Casemiro

The season didn’t start well for Casemiro as he looked sloppy at times. But, he did get a goal against Forest and after that, he looked sharp. United fans will hope that this game will bring the best version of the 5-times Champions League winner to the fore.

Defensive midfielder: Scott McTominay

In the first two games, the new signing Mason Mount started the game. However, Mount is injured and therefore, against Forest, Eriksen started the game and brought stability in the midfield of Manchester United. As Erik ten Hag would want defensive stability in this game, he could opt for McTominay instead of Eriksen.

Attacking midfielder: Bruno Fernandes (C)

Captain Bruno Fernandes has been a revelation for Manchester United. His creativity and flamboyant style of football is something United needs if they want to get something out of this game at the Emirates. His passes could be decisive for the Red Devils against the Gunners.

Left winger: Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford won the PFA Fans Player of the Year award. He was sublime last season under Ten Hag but this season, he is struggling a bit. He is yet to get on the score sheet. Playing on his preferred left side might help him. Remember, last year, he scored thrice against Arsenal at the Emirates (1) and Old Trafford (2).

Right winger: Antony

Antony made his debut last season against Arsenal and scored a beautiful goal at Old Trafford. Since then, he has scored some important and brilliant goals for United. But, he is far from being a complete player. However, he did well against Forest and therefore, he should start on the right against Arsenal.

Striker: Anthony Martial

As Manchester United doesn’t have any other striker fit, Anthony Martial will start as number 9. However, he didn’t look sharp and should leave the club to revive his career. Yet, he will start as United don’t have any other option as the frontman.

Manchester United predicted lineup: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Martinez, Dalot; Casemiro, McTominay; Fernandes, Rashford, Antony; Martial

Will Rasmus Hojlund make his debut against Arsenal?

Rasmus Hojlund is still recovering from the back injury he suffered before signing for Manchester United. He wasn’t spotted by the cameras training with the first time. But, reports came in that he was training alone. So, the chances of him making his debut against Arsenal are very slim.

Arsenal vs Manchester United score prediction (ARS 2-0 MUN)

Arsenal looked sharp from the start of the season whereas Manchester United players looked tired. Beating Arsenal at the Emirates will be an uphill task for Erik ten Hag and his Red Devils. Also, the away form of Man Utd is worthy of being in a relegation battle. So, it is expected that Arsenal will beat Manchester United in this game and the score could be 2-0 for Arsenal.
