Spurs player ratings vs Man City: Harry Kane “has dared and he has done”
By Kian Long
Spurs player ratings – Dejan Kulusevski 8/10
What a great player to watch. He has great technique and energy to support both the attacking play and help out defensively for Spurs too. He had to be subbed off for the last few minutes to help out defensively.
Spurs player ratings – Heung-Min Son 8/10
Played out of position a lot, which prevented Spurs from any attacking threat on the left-hand side. Still, Son played well in this position nevertheless as he was key to many counter attacks, particularly in the second half where Spurs dominated, before being subbed off in the 14th minute.
Son’s energy in this match was a sign of better things to come from the South Korean international.
Spurs player ratings – Harry Kane 9/10
He finally got the goal to make him Spurs’ record goalscorer, but he has long held the recognition from the Spurs fan. When the opening goal went in, it was the loudest they had ever chanted “he’s one of our own” and an excellent piece of commentary from Peter Drury to say he has “dared and he has done”. He’ll be a very, very happy man. Great performance!
Spurs sub ratings – Ryan Sessegnon 6/10
He was the first sub for Spurs, but that didn’t come until the 79th minute. He won a foul in Spurs’ half in the last minute of action so in my opinion, that’s a good cameo from the Englishman.
Spurs sub ratings – Yves Bissouma N/A
Came on in the last 5 minutes in place of Heung-Min Son to balance the play. He didn’t play enough minutes to warrant a rating.
Spurs sub ratings – Davinson Sanchez N/A
Came on in the last few minutes to tighten things up defensively following Romero’s red card. Did well at that, but ultimately had no not enough time to warrant a rating.
