Predicted Forwards: Mislav Orsic (LW) – Che Adams (ST) – Samuel Edozie (RW)

It’s a front 3 that have not played together yet but changing it up in attack may not be a bad thing.  With the additions of Onuachu and Sulemana, it would be wise to assume they will become starters for the club but Saturday will likely be too soon. Both players require UK work permits and Paul Onuachu reportedly only arrived in England on Thursday and Sulemana’s status is unknown.

Assuming they are available off the bench, they could be set to join James Bree in making their Premier League debuts.

Mislav Orsic has just 5 minutes of Premier League experience under his belt but gets the nod ahead of Adam Armstrong out on the left wing who went the full 90 on Tuesday. In the near future, this spot will likely be taken up by Edozie with Sulemana taking over on the right. For now, Southampton will have to improvise as their new signings get acclimated.

Che Adams will have one last shot to prove his worth as a starter before Paul Onuachu comes knocking. Adams scored an impressive long-range goal against Newcastle in the EFL Cup second-leg but has struggled to find form in the Premier League. The Scotland international has started Southampton’s last 8 matches in the league. While he too like Armstrong played the full match mid-week, it is unlikely Sekou Mara gets the nod up front.
