2.) Mykaihlo Mudryk – Chelsea
The Mudryk Saga was unbelievable, so much so that many reports had him as a done deal to Arsenal before joining London rivals Chelsea. This was likely heartbreaking to the Arsenal fanbase, but the Gunners should feel proud they were not price gauged by Shakhtar. The price for this player I feel did get very much out of hand given that he has come to the Premier League from the Ukrainian Premier League, but the talent is there, no question.
His initial cameo in a Chelsea shirt was quite impressive, already breaking a Premier League record. He came close to opening his account for the Blues, completed the most dribbles of the match, and had an xG of .35. In an attack whose top scorer only has 5 goals, Mudryk, and his raw talent, will be a welcome addition to this side in desperate need of somebody to help put the ball into the net.
While the possibility remains that Mudryk could yet struggle to adapt in the final third to the Premier League and that he might not live up to his price tag, I am a strong believer that Chelsea got an incredibly talented player, one for the future of the Blues.
