Arsenal are lining up some potential transfer deals which could annoy Chelsea…

In today’s section of Arsenal transfer news – Mikel Arteta to get his own back by signing two Chelsea targets, one transfer target set to snub the Gunners and a potential USMNT recruit to join Matt Turner at the Emirates Stadium.

Let’s see what the papers are saying…

Arsenal transfer news – Hijacking Chelsea targets Moises Caicedo and Amadou Onana

According to a report from Evening Standard, Arsenal are prepared for a double Premier League transfer swoop, both in the midfield department and both being Chelsea transfer targets.

The report claims that Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, who Chelsea had a bid rejected for, is of high interest to Arsenal. The Gunners have identified alternative options too, with current Everton midfielder Amadou Onana a potential suitor to Arsenal.

Arsenal transfer news – Ivan Fresneda prepared to join Dortmund instead

According to a report from Metro, Arsenal could miss out on Ivan Fresneda, their former right-back transfer target. Arsenal had a bid accepted for Fresneda, but so have Borussia Dortmund recently. It’s reported that Fresneda values a guarantee of first-team football over money, so he is likely to join Dortmund, who can offer him more of a guarantee.

Arsenal transfer news – Weston McKennie of interest to Arsenal

The Top Flight reported earlier that Arsenal were interested in signing Weston McKennie. The USMNT midfielder who currently represents Juventus in Italy, is reportedly “on the trail” of Arsenal’s recruitment team.

Even better news for Arsenal fans is that McKennie could be allowed to leave and has great experience playing at the top level.
