Three keys to success for Manchester United in 22/23: Defence, midfield & tactical identity
What to expect of Manchester United under Ten Hag?
There is always hope on the horizon for Manchester United to reignite, excite, get back to winning ways, compete with the other big teams and gain bragging rights. It has been part of their history and the players that have worn the shirt over the last few decades have symbolised that.
They possess players who have the quality to turn a corner and challenge the big teams but the muddle of the past few years have crippled them big time.
This year’s pre-season has also given hope to fans of a positive turnaround from last season which was characterized by disbelief and lack of confidence and trust.
Perhaps for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure has a manager come in whom the players seemingly want to learn from, play and win under. It’s only a start, but one that instils hope in people who lamented a broken and inefficient system to finally see it seemingly spruce up to life in the last few weeks and months.
There is also the need to keep patience with him and the club. There is a need to give time to the manager and the club to mould this team in Ten Hag’s own vision, much like how Sir Alex Ferguson did in his time.
Manchester United start their 2022-23 Premier League season against Brighton on 7 August 2022 at Old Trafford.
