#2 – Amine Gouiri (OGC Nice)

A young gun firing on all cylinders who could be the one for the future is OGC Nice forward, Amine Gouiri. Facing competition from the likes of Memphis Depay, Karl-Toko Ekambi, young superstar Rayan Cherki and Moussa Dembélé, Gouiri never really got a look in at Lyon.

Gouiri arrived at Nice for just €7million and it’s fair to say, his critics have well and truly been silenced. With 12 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, Gouiri has helped Les Aiglons to a Conference League Qualification berth.

Blessed with a combination of pace and intelligence to operate the channels as well, Gouiri is a lethal forward, and he finds space as if he is a seasoned veteran. Another standout attribute of the 22-year-old comes to the fore – his exceptional link-up play.

Comfortable dropping into midfield to stretch the pitch with pinpoint passes out wide, combining for one-twos in the hole or playing incisive through balls into the box, Gouiri is gifted with passing prowess that must be the envy of many.

Whilst there are many positives, his shooting could do with some improvement, especially in developing a more consistent striking technique, specifically for one-touch finishes.

Bayern Munich could very well be looking at a Benzema-esque forward, who they could build a team around for the decade to follow and Gouiri could very well be their mantelpiece.
