Christopher Nkunku – RB Leipzig (24)

Sticking with the Bundesliga, the next option is the highly touted Cristopher Nkunku. The Frenchman has been linked to a host of European clubs as of late and it’s clear to see why.

The 2021/22 Player of the Season in the Bundesliga and four time Player of the Month winner has tallied a remarkable 20 goals and 13 assists in 34 games in the league and scored 7 of Leipzig’s 15 goals in their 6 Champions League group stage games.

Nkunku’s record is a testament to the great football he’s been playing as of late but only goes a fraction of the way to exhibiting his capabilities. His versatility could prove invaluable, with a role as one of the wide attackers in Tuchel’s 3-4-3 formation a seemingly perfect fit for the former PSG man.

Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg reported last week that Leipzig were keen to hold on to the 24-year-old whose contract runs until the summer of 2024. The latter puts the German side in a position of power and allows them to demand a significant fee in the knowledge they will be able to make a return on investment after next season. In the same report Tuchel was listed as an admirer of Nkunku’s but any formal discussions are yet to take place and are unlikely to until Todd Boehly’s imminent takeover is finalised.
