Rangers manager – Steven Gerrard

A rumoured first choice for Amanda Staveley and co., the former Liverpool captain and now Rangers Manager would definitely be someone they could slowly build around.

Though not a big-money acquisition, Steven Gerrard has had significant success in Scotland and is someone who could relish his shot in the Premier League.

A bit more of a straightforward Manager, Gerrard heavily favours wing players and allows them to attack defenders on all fronts whilst having a strong midfield that constantly battles for the ball. He has done a lot with rather inexpensive players at Rangers, playing this style of football, the sky could be the limit if his budget was increased.

Gerrard would be a somewhat risky move, but one that allows the owners to mould and create something they really want, that could last a long period of time, before Gerrard is inevitably poached by his home club of Liverpool, that is.
