Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea) – £6.0m

Another defensive double-up, but this time it is on Chelsea. The appeal for Azpilicueta is strong as the club captain, meaning he should be relatively nailed on. Also, with Reece James currently injured, we can expect Azpiliceuta to play more games at wingback — as we saw in GW7 against Southampton.

Despite Chelsea failing to keep a clean sheet against the Saints, Azpilicueta still came away with a double-digit haul and 2 assists. We can expect to see more of this in James’ absence.

The aim with Azpilicueta should be to keep him as more of a short-term pick, or as a Trent Alexander-Arnold placeholder. When Chelsea’s fixtures get slightly tougher from GW12, this should be the perfect time to ditch Azpilicueta for the Liverpool right-back.
