Player to Target: Michail Antonio

Michail Antonio has started this season in amazing form, scoring 4 goals and assisting 4 others to become the current top scorer in FPL with 40 points.

Antonio has also looked great on underlying data showing that his current performance can be sustainable by having an xG of 2.91(expected goals) and an xA of 0.67 (expected assists). The only issue for Antonio is his long-standing hamstring issues and that it can kick in at any moment.

More from Premier League

Player to avoid: James Ward-Prowse

James Ward-Prowse scored a goal in his last game against Newcastle United and collected 8 points in FPL. Dues to this, he has been transferred in by many before the game against the Hammers.

Ward-Prowse has only had an nPxG (non-penalty expected data) of 0.28, and if we exclude all his set-pieces, he has only recorded an xG of 0.13 in open play. Not encouraging for an FPL pick if his main source of points is set plays. A good asset to have in real life but not in terms of Fantasy Premier League.
