Joël Veltman returned from a COVID-related absence in the defeat against Everton. He is widely expected to start the game but his position of starting isn’t confirmed yet.

Veltman could play as a center back in a back 3 with minimal attacking threat but he could also play as a wingback with massive attacking potential in the Brighton setup.

At a minimal price of 4.4m and close to falling to 4.3m at the time of writing this, he is certainly one to buy no matter which position he plays in, due to Brighton’s defense boasting such impressive stats early on the Premier League campaign.

Player to Avoid: Shane Duffy

Shane Duffy, the most-owned defender from Brighton, could be the player to be sacrificed to accommodate for Veltman if he returns to the side as a center back. Webster and Dunk are the mainstays in that defensive structure and not Duffy.
