Premier League: Who should Arsenal sign to improve performances?
Bernardo Silva – Manchester City
Bernardo Silva is one of the most talented players in the English Premier League and a very underrated baller.
He has not had a lot of chances for the Cityzens since he arrived at the Etihad. Don’t get me wrong, he has played a lot of games and has been key in a pair of seasons but his talent hasn’t been taken seriously lately. He’s had many games as a sub and is mostly the first substitution of the game for Pep.
With the arrival of Jack Grealish, Silva’s opportunities are going to be way more limited and the Portuguese is looking for a way out of the club. The main teams after him are Atletico de Madrid and Arsenal.
All English Premier League
Los Colchoneros have a little bit of an advantage over the Gunners but there is still a possibility of Bernardo Silva playing at Emirates Stadium next season.
He has scored 21 goals and assisted 24 in 131 games, starting 93 of them. The Portuguese is a very creative player and if the Gunners want to solve their big creativity problem I think that Bernardo Silva is the most capable player on this list to do it.
Silva can play in the middle of the field and on either flank, which would give the squad a lot of options with the signing of one player. City would probably try to get a substantial fee from him but I think Arsenal can pay whatever amount the Cityzens ask for Silva.
It is only a matter of time before we see where Bernardo Silva ends after this transfer window is finished but there is a high possibility that is not going to be at the Etihad. If Arsenal is not able to sign Ødegaard they would probably shift their interests towards the Portuguese.
