Martin Ødegaard – Real Madrid

It is pretty much clear that Ødegaard is not going to stay at Real Madrid. Los Blancos have not given him a jersey number yet and he is not registered for La Liga, even though it already started this weekend with an exceptional 4-1 win over Alaves for Real Madrid.

He is not happy that he’s not a starter for the team but that is a hard thing to achieve since Real Madrid has one of the best midfielder trios in the history of football with Casemiro, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric.

Federico Valverde, a player in a similar situation to Ødegaard, has gained his spot in the team and has been a consistent player in the starting lineup when one of the players in the trio gets injured or just needs rest. Valverde plays because he has gained his spot with sacrifice.

With Ødegaard this is not the case and he just wants to play in the starting lineup, which seems to have both Carlo Ancelotti and the club very upset. This could influence the move for Ødegaard to the Gunners easily.

Ødegaard already played with Arsenal last season when he was on loan; he only played 14 games for them but seems very comfortable with Arsenal’s playing style, and since he already knows the team he could be one of the best options in the market for the Gunners.

Also, he would probably be cheaper than Maddison which will count a lot in Arsenal’s final decision.
