The 24 years old left-back joined Leeds United after two disappointing years at Barcelona.

He was signed for the Blaugranas in the 2019-2020 season after he had two really good years with Real Betis.

In Barça, he had a difficult time since he didn’t enjoy many minutes because of his teammate Jordi Alba, who has been known to be one of the best left-backs of the last decade. Annoyed by this, Firpo joined Leeds this year where he could be one of the best left-backs in the Premier League.

Stuart Dallas had an amazing season last year where he had to play many games as a left-back. Now, with Firpo’s signing, Dallas could play in another position since he is very versatile and Firpo could play at the left-back position.

This is one of the best things about this signing, Bielsa is now going to be able to use Dallas in his actual position or even put him in another position that needs to be covered.

Firpo gives the team depth which is always great. Also, he can easily contribute to 10 goals (goals + assists) because of his offensive style of play being a left-back.

He’s a very physical player which Marcelo Bielsa is going to be very happy about. Firpo is going to be able to show his real level at Leeds after two years of being a Barcelona bench warmer and everyone should keep an eye on him this season.
