Paulinho was one of the few high-profile transfers to China that proved to be a success.

When many took the move to China as a money-grab vacation, Paulinho repaid Guangzhou Evergrande by performing week in week out.

During his tenure with the Tigers, Paulinho claimed three Chinese Super League titles, a Chinese FA Cup, two Chinese Super Cups and an Asian Champions League, a remarkable feat.

Sandwiched in-between his spell in China was a surprise transfer to Barcelona in which he won both a Copa del Rey and La Liga. At 32, Paulinho still has plenty left in the tank.

Although his first spell in the Premier League with Tottenham was a mixed one, Paulinho has garnered vast experience and his warrior-esque presence would surely aid any club.

He enjoys making deep runs in the middle, keeps the ball close to his feet, and has an astute eye for a pass.

More. Four signings to aid Burnley’s EPL survival. light

Across his last two seasons in China, he scored 28 goals and assisted on 8 other occasions. A free agent, Paulinho would certainly be quite the astute bargain.
