Euro 2020 most expensive XI – Who features with Mbappé here?
Jadon Sancho/ England – €100M
One of the players that English fans are expecting to perform superbly in this tournament is Jadon Sancho. He is going to have a crucial role in the Three Lions’ participation in this year’s Euros.
He had a really good season with Dortmund and after a good Euro, he could have a new club this summer. A transfer to Manchester City or Manchester United has been talked about over the last couple of years and this summer it could finally turn into a reality.
Kevin de Bruyne/ Belgium – €100m
Another Belgian and EPL player on this list. De Bruyne, for many fans, is a candidate for the Balon D’or. He should miss Belgium’s first group game against Russia due to an injury sustained in the Champions League final but will be ready to show his metal thereafter.
The Belgian player is one of the best midfielders in the world and has shown to the world his magic over the last years. He has never been able to reach a final with Belgium in any tournament and this can be a good shot for him and his country to finally do so.
Frenkie de Jong/ Netherlands – €90M
In this position, it was actually a tie with Joshua Kimmich and Bruno Fernandes. All three players are valued by tranfermarket at €90M but we thought that De Jong is the player that would fit the most in this squad since his amazing defensive style and quality on the ball.
De Jong has been crucial for Barça since joining them and has established himself as arguably their most important player alongside Lionel Messi. He’s only 24 years old and has already a value of almost 100 million euros. Alongside De Ligt, the other Dutch player on this list, they would try to take the Netherlands as far as they can.
Raheem Sterling/ England – €90M
Even though Sterling had one of his worst seasons in terms of minutes, the English winger is still very valuable and a player that most teams in Europe want.
His playing time was limited by Guardiola during the last stretch of the season, so much so he was even a doubt to make England’s Euro 2020 squad. Sterling would have to fight for his spot in the starting XI with players like Sancho, Grealish, and Saka all fighting for the same position.
