Jamie Vardy – Leicester City

This was a hard one to decide, both Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho had stunning seasons but we chose to go with Jamie Vardy.

At 34 years of age, the English striker keeps shocking the world with his goalscoring ability. He scored 15 goals and has 9 assists for the season.

Not many players keep playing this well when they are past 33/34 years old and when playing in arguably the best league in the world.

Well, Jamie Vardy keeps playing at an amazing level, and even though Leicester couldn’t achieve a Champions League spot, Vardy did his best in trying to accomplished that goal.

The Foxes had a very erratic finish to the season which resulted in them finishing in 5th place on the EPL table, the first Europa League spot. Out of the last five games, they only won one, tied one, and lost three.

This finish was shocking for Leicester fans since they spent 242 days in the top four, more than any club this season.

Because of his age, this could possibly be one of the last seasons Vardy puts in a good performance. Nonetheless, this has been said in the past about the Englishman and he still delivers for his team.

Honorable Mention – Kelechi Iheanacho

Kelechi Iheanacho has to be mentioned on this list since he had the best scoring season of his career.

He scored 12 goals and most of those goals were decisive in Leicester’s path to secure a fifth-placed finish. Also, he won the Player of the Month award for the month of March.
