The greatest measurement for an English Premier League striker’s success will always be based upon their ability to score goals.

Whether it is Mohamad Salah curling one in from outside the 18-yard-box or Bruno Fernandez finishing from the penalty spot, the art of goal scoring should never be understated.

The English Premier League Golden Boot award is the apex of individual achievements for a striker. This season’s EPL golden boot winner is still far from decided.

Five players have fourteen or more goals this season. Harry Kane and Mohammad Salah lead the race with 19 each, followed by Bruno Fernandez, who has netted 16, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Patrick Bamford who both have 14.

In this slideshow, we will look at the top three contenders in the Golden Boot race and determine who is likely to walk away with this year’s honors by examining their goals per 90 and their remaining minutes to predict how many goals they will likely score.
