On the other side, Leeds United had a contrasting side to that of Manchester United. Don Revie boasted the great tacklers, Billy Bremner and Norman Hunter, in his side.
The difference between the teams was observed in the 1965 FA Cup semifinals. Denis Law and Jack Charlton were involved in a brawl and tempers flared at the hour mark.
Pat Crerand was also involved in the fight supporting Denis Law with Billy Bremner and Norman Hunter paired up to fight Law and Crerand.
By the time peace was restored, Law had lost half of his shirt. The game ended in a 0-0 draw and Leeds advanced to the next round after a win in the replay.
