Ole’s Manchester United Lacking Consistency and a Cutting Edge.

After a very convincing midweek victory over RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League, Manchester United supporters could be forgiven for thinking that the sputtering play that characterized the lackluster start to the season was behind them.

Unfortunately, the Red Devils returned to bad habits and dropped more points. The fixture pile-up is affecting all teams playing in European competition, so flat performances are going to happen more often than not.

The bigger concern for Solskjaer and Man United fans is that Arsenal likewise played midweek, but still managed to come to Old Trafford and be ready for a fight.

One has to wonder whether the tactical setup has as much to do, or possibly more to do, with the inconsistent results rather than the lack of first choice recruits.

If the inconsistency in the Premier League can’t be remedied, there could be trouble for Solskjaer on the horizon, as Manchester United have not been the most patient club in years past. Watch this space.
