Under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, Jesse Lingard had one of his best seasons in a United jersey.

In the 2017/18 season where the Red Devils finished second, the attacking midfielder enjoyed a great season.

In 33 games, he scored eight goals and assisted his side six times. Also, his passing accuracy was close to 87.77%, which every attacking midfielder aspires for.

Throughout his time under the Portuguese manager, Lingard has 20 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. These stats show that Jesse is half the player he once was.

There are multiple reasons behind the doubts regarding his stay at Old Trafford, but the arrival of Donny van de Beek and Bruno Fernandes has spelled certain doom over his Red Devils’ career.
