5. Leicester

The Foxes are second in the table. They have the Premier League’s leading goal scorer in Jamie Vardy. They are great at demolishing much weaker teams (9-0 @ Southampton, 5-0 home against Newcastle, 4-1 @ Aston Villa, and 3-0 @ Newcastle). However, looks are deceiving.

Per understat.com, Leicester is eighth in the league in expected goals against (xGA) and fifth in expected points (xPTS). The Foxes are also fifth in expected goal differential (xGDiff) and fourth in non-penalty expected goals plus assists (npxG + xA) in the league, according to fbref.com. It is expected that they will fall closer to expectations as they play against tougher competition (such as their recent 4-0 loss against Liverpool).
