We were spoilt with a leadoff surprise early Saturday when Everton welcomed Chelsea to a battered Goodison Park. When the day ended, it ended with the other most shocking result of the weekend.
This fixture was Ole’s outstanding showing in their Manchester derby, handing their old rivals Liverpool 14 points between them and their neighbouring rivals, City. Merseyside on a whole dominated throughout the land picking up maximum points in their respective fixtures.
But hot on the heels of Jurgen Klopp is his predecessor Brendan Rodgers, who has been showing some exquisite football over a period of eight games.

Everton 3-1 Chelsea
It was the biggest upset of the weekend no doubt. The first of two upsets and the first of the teams in recovery mode. The Blues from Merseyside recuperated well when they hosted a Chelsea team showing more inconsistency in recent weeks.
Goals from an in-form Richarlison and a poachers brace by Dominic Calvert-Lewin was too much for Frank Lampard to reverse the result in his favour, even with the solo Chelsea goal scored by Mateo Kovačić.
What a start in a time of desperation and despair for Everton under the short-term guidance of Duncan Ferguson, the Everton legend.
