The international interlude taking us away from club football has passed and we back to Premier League action. Before the break, it was most of the top-six sides welcoming international duty.

Many of the top sides dropped points on Matchday 8, while others recorded narrow victories. The bottom dwellers owned the weekend, stunning us all with marvellous victories. Brighton, Wolves, and Newcastle took the honours over sides Tottenham, Man City, and Man United, respectively.

Will we see these big hitters bounce back or will we observe the so-called weaker team build on their brilliance? Accompanying these questions is the one about Klopp and his undefeated Liverpool side. Will their trek on and make it 9 wins from 9 games when they travel to Manchester for the first meeting between the duo this campaign?

Their third top-six clash to be precise, following the Arsenal and Chelsea encounters. Is this their year? Eight points clear at the top and only have themselves stopping them from achieving Premier League greatness this season.

So many talking points it’s almost too hard to decide where to focus all your attention this weekend. What matchups are the ones not to miss on Matchday 9 of the English Premier League?
