Football hit the 150km/h mark as we go from cup to league, then domestic cup action and then back to Premier League action.
Some Premier League clubs well on the way already, while others who are featuring in European competitions take their first crack at the Carabao Cup contest. Burnley, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Norwich City have all been eliminated from the competition in the second round already, giving us early upsets in the tournament.
Following them (when things became predominantly Premier League clubs with your few underdogs from lower leagues) only one club from England’s Top Flight got eliminated in the first night of the EFL Cup third round. Seven clubs took part in Tuesday night’s events and six clubs march on to the next round.
