Newcastle moves up into 13th place in the standings after the winning show at the King Power Stadium.

They go up against Southampton (H); Brighton (A); Liverpool (H) and Fulham (A) in their last four Premier League fixtures. Form those fixtures the Toon army could realistically get three, six, or nine points.

They are 10 points clear of the final relegation spot taken up by Cardiff City, with only 12 points left to play for, for Newcastle. The Bluebirds have a game in hand after Matchday 34 concludes, but the pressures are on them to deliver results. Whereas Rafa’s in the driver’s seat, cruising 60 miles per hour to the finish line.

A home win over Fulham on the closing day would be over enough to see another club drop down other than the Magpies. Two seasons running that Rafa has saved Newcastle from the drop since returning to the elite stages.

If a big club comes knocking, they can count their blessings if he opts to stay with them for another season. Newcastle’s fans were ever-present throughout the 90 minutes. They were rewarded for their vocal vanity, with a chance to fight another season in the Premier League.
