A dangerous team no doubt, but a team in desperation in the final stages of the World Cup.

Two penalty shootouts in as many games, showcases their problems to secure a lead and keep out goals. Something that needs to be changed or they can forget about trying to stop the speed in attack England has to offer.

News ahead of the clash

The Blazers are in trouble and have a backline of problems to consider before the match starts. Three of the four starting defenders are major doubts, including their heroic stopper, Danijel Subasic.

England remain almost a fully fit nation. The only doubts are midfielder, Jordan Henderson and backup striker, Jamie Vardy. The pair is the only injury concerns for manager Southgate. But hopes of Henderson being fit is high.

For once, when taking everything from this cup into consideration, England goes into this game as a strong favourite to reach the finals. Although, take nothing away from Modric and his mates, they can control and dictate a game against any of the best.

Going for a strong England win.
