A re-entry team after missing the centre stage in 2014, Serbia made sure they weren’t missing this event.

Serbia did quite well in the qualifications. They finished first in Group D, on route to Russia. They part of the reason both Wales, and Austria never saw the World Cup this year.

Costa Rica as a first fixture, followed by Brazil in their second fixture are two difficult openers. If they can beat Costa Rica in the first match, they could be the team to get the other qualifying slot.
