The team off the back of a controversial World Cup in Brazil has the chance to redeem themselves before they lose one of their strongest attacking threats to age.

Mooted as the favourites in Group A, Uruguay can push far in this World Cup. That’s only if they apply themselves as they did back in South Africa. Always granting us with controversy, Luis Suarez must keep his old chewing antics to himself.

They haven’t recovered from all their problems on the pitch caused by one player. However, say what you want to about this country, they are still two-time champions. They are a hard team to break down and brag a better midfield. A midfield who one only wish could have been paired with the likes of Forlan, Suarez, and Cavani.
