It was a one man show for the whole season. Only one player came close to sitting at the table of Ronaldo and Messi. A first season for the player, but a first of many accolades that followed.

Let’s just say that if Messi didn’t exist, the Golden Shoe in Europe would go to Salah. That means that Salah isn’t just the best player in his team, but he might be the best in the world.

There’s definitely that argument to be made for a winger who produced 32 goals and 12 assists in a season. All hail the Pharaoh.

Worst Player – Georginio Wijnaldum

Probably not who you would expect but let me explain. While Liverpool’s attack are a super-charged machine, this does not include Wijnaldum. This season he has played at least 70 minutes in 22 games. In these 22 games Wijnaldum has only scored once. Once.

That’s as many times as Danny Ings. However, Ings managed his one goal while playing 2,119 minutes less than Wijnaldum.
