World Cup: 100 things I can’t wait to see!
By Orri Benatar
91. The closing ceremony
More guys dressed like foliage and Jason Derulo singing. Better than the Black Eyed Peas at the Champions League last year.
92. Panama vs. Tunisia
Who isn’t excited for this clash of titans on June 28th? With England playing Belgium at the same time, I bet you this Panama-Tunisia clash ends up being the better game.
93. Did I mention Iceland?
Same size as Corpus Christi, Texas. Tired of me saying it? Taylor Twellman can tell you now while ranting about US Soccer. Skip to 6:36 if you just want to hear him mention Iceland.
94. A France vs. Argentina Round of 16 match
Argentina is not that good. They might not win Group D. France is very good and should win Group C. These two could play in the first knockout round and it would be incredible.
95. The stats on how more people watch the World Cup than the Super Bowl
The World Cup is the biggest sporting event on the planet. Click here to see how much.
96. Diplomats attending
Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, and more could show up in Russia this summer for the tournament. The World Cup is when sports and politics collide. It is also a time where we can see how happy politicians are about their country winning.
97. The EA Sports FIFA World Cup DLC
EA Sports decided they won’t release a full game for the World Cup this spring. Instead, FIFA 18 will have a World Cup add-on that will only feature the 32 teams in Russia. No more scoring 55 goals with Ronaldo against Bermuda.
98. The final
The biggest single match in sports that occurs. No question!
99. The trophy ceremony
The most spectacular trophy ceremony in all of sport.
100. I can’t wait for the best month of every four years
If you couldn’t tell from this list, I’m a little excited for the World Cup this summer. See you in 100 days for the best event on Earth.
